IV-Who’s in charge of your NGO?
Volunteer Trainer: Sue Meikle
Sue has been conducting Board Development Workshops for Yukon NGOs for over 10 years, based on her own training and experience working with and for various local, regional and national NGOs in Yukon, Ontario and British Columbia. She was a founding Director of MADD (Yukon Chapter) and has sat on various local NGO Boards as a Director, Treasurer, Vice-President and Ex-officio advisor over the years, including the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club, Cross Country Yukon, Vanier Grad Committee, Recreation & Parks Association of Yukon, to name a few.

Synopsis:
Back my popular demand, this interactive workshop will leave you with a much better understanding of the part you play as a Board or Staff member. We will review authority, responsibility and roles of an NGO Board. We will also explore Board-Staff relationships. We will do both using various “good practise tools” which you can take with you (ie. Board/Staff Matrix, NGO Assessment Tool, etc.).

Come prepared for good discussion and learning.
