About Us

Volunteers strengthen the social fabric of our communities. They serve on boards and committees, organize cultural and recreational activities, support the elderly, provide shelter, counsel youth, clean parks, coach teams, read to children, and much more.

Volunteers offer their time because they believe in causes, equal opportunities, safe and healthy community spaces, and helping others. Volunteers aspire to give back to their communities and make them better places to live.

Volunteer Yukon recognizes the importance of supporting volunteers - this is why we focus on providing training and resources to volunteers and to those organizations that regularly work with volunteers.

Volunteer Yukon:

  • Provides Resources & Training for organizations to help them engage and manage their volunteers;
  • Celebrates contributions of these volunteers Celebrate Volunteers;
  • Inspires Yukoners to continue to volunteer their knowledge and skills to the community;
  • Connects volunteers to volunteer opportunities;
  • Develops partnerships to advance volunteerism in the community
